The Talking Furniture Radio Archive
Dave Ras Chicopee Bisbee Radio Jones Piszcz was Rio Bisbee.Band’s original drummer in 1980. Before playing that drum role, he was previously radio disc jockey in his then hometown Chicopee, Massachusetts. Relocated in Maine closer to other Bisbees, Dave became involved with the new radio station WERU Community Radio 89.9 FM in nearby Blue Hill. His Talking Furniture soon became WERU’s flagship program featuring jazz, reggae, salsa and polka, framed by his insightful commentary. Unfortunately Davey passed away after a brief illness. He is sorely missed. Fortunately Davey lives on playing drums on many surviving Rio Bisbee.Band recordings, and this collection of his Talking Furniture mini-rants assembled here for posterity. They are brief, some unsettling, most hilarious.
