Betty Sue
When I saw her she made me jump
There on the ground over at the dump
I caught her glance, when I looked back
She was just a half a yard from the dozer track
Wavy red hair, and eyes of green
She’s a transfer station beauty queen
Cute little dimple on her rosy cheeks
Ruby red lips, and she’s got good teeth!
I see her face when I get home
So I don’t have to feel alone
She’s always smiling, she never frowns
To me she’s the sweetest little girl in town!
Pert little nose and smooth, soft skin
She never asks me where I’ve been
She waits for me, she doesn’t complain
Her sweet smile tells me Come again!
There’s a pretty girl; I don’t know her name
She’s just a color photo in a gilded frame
She’s here with me, that’ll have to do
My sweet little transfer station Betty Sue
It could be a picture from her senior prom
Probly today she’s someone’s mom
But she’ll never lie to me and make me cry
With a gal like that I’m a lucky guy!
There’s a pretty girl; I don’t know her name
She’s just a color photo in a gilded frame
She isn’t real, but to me she’s true
My sweet little transfer station Betty Sue
